Asmuss' PVC Schedule 80 Piping system is truly an industrial product.
Often referred to as ‘Hi Strength’ PVC, its industrial grade wall thickness and excellent chemical resistance, make it ideally suited for industrial process applications where system integrity is vital. Schedule 80 is a complete system with valving and instrumentation component available.
PVC Schedule 80 offers excellent resistance to most acids and alkalis.
The Installation of PVC Schedule 80 pipework should only be undertaken by suitably qualified and experienced persons. Asmuss recommends the use of IPS-724 solvent cement when jointing PVC Schedule 80. This has been specifically developed for use with PVC Schedule 80 in chemical applications.
PVC Schedule 80 was initially developed for the American market and as such is made to the relevant ASTM Standards. Flanges are drilled to the ANSI 150 pattern and threaded fittings are NPT. Please note that this is different to the Table D/E flanges and BSP threads common to New Zealand.
A limited range of threaded BSP fittings are included in the range to assist transitions in New Zealand. These fittings are not of Schedule 80, but are of industrial grade PVC.
