Warehouse Manager

About the Role

As the Warehouse Manager in our Flow Control distribution centre, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and effective management of our warehouse operations. Working closely with our branches, you will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, leading warehouse staff, and ensuring the seamless flow of products through the facility. 


Your focus will be on maintaining safety standards, optimising inventory management, and fostering a productive work environment to meet customer demands and operational goals.

This role requires a leader with strong organisational and interpersonal skills to ensure optimal performance, productivity, and compliance across all sites. 

About You

  • Previous experience (at least 8+ years) in a warehouse or distribution centre environment, preferably in flow control industry.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities to handle multiple tasks and challenges in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide warehouse staff effectively.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices to optimise warehouse processes. 
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to warehousing and material handling, especially in the steel industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully with a variety of people.
  • Customer-centric mindset
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for inventory tracking, reporting, and communication.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail

Sandblaster / Storeperson

About the Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, we have an opportunity for a Sandblaster to join our team at the Christchurch Warehouse in Rolleston. 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Sandblasting and general warehousing.
  • Operate sandblaster in a safe manner.
  • Compliance and quality paperwork associated with sandblasting function completed in a timely manner. 
  • Assist the warehouse team with receipt, storage and retrieval and timely dispatch of good.

The following attributes are essential for the right person:

  • Reliability and having the right work ethic.
  • Previous experience with sandblasting or a related field would be advantageous however we are willing to train and develop someone with the willingness to learn. 
  • Current full driver's license.
  • Current forklift driver's license would be advantageous but not essential. 

Hours of Work: 8.00am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday.

Extrusion Supervisor – Nightshift

Hamilton Central, Waikato

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Extrusion Supervisor to join our team who will be accountable for providing leadership to the nightshift team and managing all aspects of high volume and high-quality production. 

You will be working in an exciting, busy and varied role and be part of our success by;

  • Providing leadership to the team to ensure overall team performance delivers business needs. 
  • Setting up, adjusting and calibrating extrusion lines to ensure the pipe produced meets all quality specifications and industry standards.
  • Monitoring and tunning extrusion lines ensuring pipe weight targets and quality specifications are maintained throughout the production run.
  • Trouble shooting issues alongside the Production Manager and, ensuring serious technical issues are reported to management and the engineering team.
  • General housekeeping duties, including monitoring plant and equipment, completing maintenance checks, printer servicing, basic repairs and adjustments.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills
  • Minimum 3-years’ experience in the manufacturing environment of plastic extrusion
  • Experience setting up, adjusting and maintaining plastic extrusion machinery.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Passionate about Health & Safety and Quality

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and motivated team player to join our busy and supportive Mount Wellington Warehouse team as a Storeperson.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
  • Receiving and checking inwards goods in to store.
  • Completing stock takes and cycle counts.
  • Data entry to complete relevant warehouse paperwork.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

The following attributes are essential for the right person:

  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment or similar 
  • Current forklift driver's license with F endorsement 
  • Current Reach truck license would be advantageous.
  • Current full driver's license
  • Physically fit to lift up to 25kgs/

Extrusion Operators

Te Rapa, Hamilton

About the Role

Our Hamilton plant is a leading manufacturer of polyethylene pipes and we are looking for Extrusion Operators to join our team. Experience with plastic extrusion would be beneficial, however not essential as we willing to train and develop candidates who have the willingness to learn. 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Setting up, monitoring, calibrating and tuning on all extrusion lines
  • Operating extrusion equipment to manufacture polyethylene solid walled pipe between 063 and 1000 mm diameter 
  • Troubleshooting faults and identifying causes of manufacturing defects
  • Machine maintenance
  • Quality Assurance

The following attributes are essential for the right person:

  • Experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment
  • Plastic extrusion experience will be beneficial 
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical capacity
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Current forklift driver's license 
  • Current full driver's license
  • Forklift license with F endorsement would be advantageous
  • Commitment to Health & Safety

Shift Pattern: 

  • 1 x Night shit Monday to Thursday 18:00 to 06:00
  • 1 x Weekend Day shift Friday to Monday 06:00 to 18:00
