Asmuss offers a wide range of industrial plastic piping systems including ABS, PVC, CPVC, PP-H, PVDF and PFA which can be solvent welded, or fusion welded depending on the material and application.

Typical applications include cooling lines to manufacturing equipment, Brine / Glycol lines in food production, chemical conveying for CIP and chemical dosing for water treatment.

Asmuss can provide systems that provide Type II or even Type I Ultra-pure water by using Infra-red or Bead and Crevice free welding.

WATER & WASTEWATER PROJECTS

Westport Raw Water Supply

This was a complex project involving transferring raw drinking water from the existing intake. The conditions were challenging, but our client used a series of trenchless techniques and completed a very technical and successful outcome.

Asmuss were engaged to supply 813mm steel pipe and manufactured 710mm and 630mm polyethylene pipe.

Willis Street Emergency Repairs

In December 2019, a major sewer pipeline in Wellington City failed leading to a high volume of sewer being discharged into Wellington Harbour. Asmuss was engaged to manufacture 800mm PE and supply the required electrofusion couplers and flanged connections to repair the pipeline. The project included excavations up to 6m deep and Asmuss also supplied steel sheet and beams to enable safe construction activity within the trench.

Pukekohe Wastewater Treatment Plant

Watercare upgraded the Pukekohe Wastewater Treatment Plant to ensure they can continue to treat wastewater from a growing population.

Asmuss was engaged to supply a range of Val-Matic Surgebuster CheckValves, Val-Matic Butterfly Valves and Gate Valves.

North Shore Hospital

Waitematā DHB is undertaking major works at the North Shore Hospital campus to meet projected population growth in the Northern region.

Asmuss was engaged to supply PE Pipe, EF Couplers/fittings, PE Gas Valves, Di Valves/fittings.
