Polyvinvlidenfluoride belongs to the class of fluorine polymers, that include polytetrafluor ethylene (PTFE). PTFE is characterized by extreme temperature resistance and the best chemical resistance of all plastics. Unfortunately it is not workable on a thermoplastic basis, which provides limited use as a piping system.
